A Free Boy in America

A young boy growing up in America
isn't really sure why he started there.
Meanwhile hes watching faces pass.
He's in the moment, will it be his last?
All he knows is to trust in love,
and pray for guidance from God above.
He's right here and hes feeling stuck-
wondering what it means to love.
In all its true that love is war,
so he will fight for what he loves-

His freedom in America.
He's a free boy in America.

Its getting late and the night is coming.
He starts to wonder if its worth the running.
He takes a ride to try to think of something.
Digs in his pockets and he's all out of money.
What he would do for a hive of honey.
Climb up, get stung, and act like its nothing.
Falling down and getting up for his country.
A young boy fighting for his country.
For a country that he loves, and

His freedom in America.
He's a free boy in America.
