A Fusion of Sight

Spikes of azure
That shimmer and thrill
My eyes they capture
And stab to still.

A child-like innocence,
A demand to know;
A hint of urgency,
A daring to show.

My mind tries in vain
To ignore the allure.
Again and again
It begs to be sure.

The haunt returns
By day and by night.
The puzzle remains -
That fusion of sight.
