A Gift

I collect myself
as raindrops do
on the window-
pane, a game
how many drops,
how many pieces
of me can I
collect before
it slips and I
forget to live
in the moment,
cherish these
that coddle
hopes of the
future, and ease
the pain of the
past, for there
is no present
like the present
never does it
