A given self
Did occur to me in early June
I feared it was given so soon
There was a shelf
Where I dropped this given poem
Nothing at all could have been gone
It's like a spell
To which many dreams are real
It occurred in the early June still
It came to myself
Write this down with pen at flow
Do not doubt where it did go
This is a given self
A self so willing the goal
Someone who's a generous call
A given self
Will want to be given the word
He will want to give out some bread
It's never less
Unless he is down and couldn't give
Unless he's down and couldn't speak
I love this self
Who so pleases the day and pleases men
Someone who only gives and never earn
For we all love this self.
