A Glimpse of My Soul

As I am now, so it will be,

It is a portrait, yet not of the face,

Light glow, soft rose, all flashes of spring,

And crystal the water flowing with grace.

Oh youth of the world, a wonderful thing,

With beauty complex, an intricate lace,

So true to this scape yet sewn in anew,

With promise of knowledge, the living of life.

Yet thought is a power, a power so shrew,

A thought that my spring will see winter's strife.

I don't want to change, but what can I do?

But wish I could stay and this I could be.
