A Good Twist of Fate

To my world: I love you, Sparkles
Before I met you, I thought my life was at its end-
I was living with pain and suffering, with not even one friend.
My children whom I love were the only ones there;
I worried about their future and their fate that she would tear.
And at times, I came home to find their mother to them was truly unkind.
Then, I decided to do what's best for us and tell her goodbye;
And when she left, the children were relieved and did not cry.
Then as a blessing and a magical twist of fate,
You somehow found me and us-not a moment too late.
And our life is changing for the better and is long overdue.
My kids and your kids are now our kids,
And I'm happy to promise, I will always love you.
