A Good Woman

A good woman's hard to find, or at least that's what they say,
So why is it only us good ones pay the price there is to pay?
I've always lived my life by what's been called"The Golden Rule"
It seems the world I live in, no one else attended my school.
Now money's taken center stage, comes before life or heart,
This world's moving too damn fast for any of us to play a part.
So here I sit in quietness, but I'll have peace of mind,
Knowing I gave with my heart,as life's clock runs out of time.
