A Happiness Tease

We walked by the sea, a happiness tease
And you told me you loved me.

The trees lost their leaves, swayed with the breeze
And I told you I loved you.

The monsters weren't pleased, they started to scream
No one to love me!

As you fell to your knees, begging me, please!
Why couldn't I love you?

I left with such ease, a selfish disease
You no longer love me.
