A Heavy Heart

The darkness has swallowed a hopeless soul.
No light in reach, no direction to go.

Cries unheard, no available ear,
Heart bleeds out from the pounding sear.

Is there chance, one asks above.
All is gone, no hope or love.

Ask death to come, your soul to save,
Nothing left, all I gave.

Emptiness visits my heart this day,
Surrender may soul to go this way.
