A Hollow Fullness at Home

The darkness glows-no-
Flows under my skin.
"Chin up!" said Mother.

"Smother the frown.
Pound your thick years.
Tears will soften; mix often.

Raw batter
Matters to the health of-

Love, bake life away!
Pray the cake
Flakes and is stark
Dark because when light skims trees,
It leaves the fat
That roots itself inside you-
Too strongly to leave home."

Foamy spit crumbles in my lips,
Filling it but leaving it empty.
A scream, a swallow,
Hollow with barky cake, I stay.
