A Human Evil

Am I a hypocrite in this human sea?
I advocate virtues to be.
My temper burns by a sly spark,
Instead of remaining in the dark.
Am I a hypocrite in this human flood,
Are my virtues in the mud?
My mouth rattles the untruth
When it should chatter the truth.
Am I a hypocrite in this world?
Aristotle claims virtue's a need.
This human from the world of mythology
Tells me the virtue of philosophy-
A way to snatch the snake
And extract the poison of this ache.
In his terms, I am a hypocrite;
No one else can better depict.
Should I follow ideals of Confucius?
Shall this rid me of this confusion?
Once I learn,
I won't leave a burn.
But for now-now, and only now-
Am I a hypocrite in this human fowl?!
