A Leaf

A Leaf,
Floating on a lake,
Its a foreign boat.
Its lime-green tint,
In the barren water.
Being pushed around,
By waves and wind,
With no control.

A person,
Passing by in the world.
They're a sorry soul.
Their potential outstanding.
But they choose to cede.
Pushed and twisted,
by the waves and wind,
of those around them.
