A Letter from the Millennials

We are not a hopeless generation.
We are not a lost cause.
We've made the same mistakes you have.
Manipulated by sin
Its tantalizing scent of myrrh
and glamorous disguise of silk.

We have made terrible mistakes.
We've walked down the wrong paths.
We've failed.

Do you really know what we need?
We need people who are going to pick us up when we fall.
We need the older generations to teach us their ways.
We need mentors that aren't going to turn their backs on us.

But instead you all watch with hateful eyes,
And criticize everything we do
you've given up on us.

You point out the specks in our eyes
but cease to see the log in yours.
