A Life of Strife

I listened to those honeyed tongues,
That gave me naught but flooded lungs.

And though I hate to always strive,
It's what it means to be alive.

The world can see my burning heart,
It's not the end but just the start.

I'll keep on fighting day to day,
Untl my scars just fade away.
