O. ..Michigan state
It's that day once again
Fear not little bro
At noon we will win
Your green and your white
Seem praised when you rank
But where are your fans
When you lose and you stank
When State doesn't rank
And blue conquers green
Your fans show their love
As they destroy East Lansing
They loot and they riot
Like a third world crisis
They ruin your city
Like Spartans turn Isis
Our fans remain loyal
Patient and strong
With a win or a lose
They all get along
Were ashamed little bro
That you've nothing to hang
All these years that we gave you
Still nothing has changed
We know better now
Then to leave winning to you
Those championship banners
Are for maize and for blue
But fear not challenged sibling
From that down syndrome jean
Were back and we'll show you
Why blue out plays green
We will carry you this year
And every year after
And pray that your watching
As we hang our 12th banner
We will picture your faces
And keep you in mind
While we celebrate this win
In your end zone and grind
Were back just to show you
Big Brother has won
The Big Ten is ours
Maize and Blues #1

This Poems Story

This poem puts a comical spin on the most documented college football rivalry in the state of Michigan. These two Big Ten Championship competitors have the most diverse and vocal fan debates yearly and their match ups never fail to surprise and/or cause chaos between there die hard fans. I began to comically poem bash for my husband yearly during his anxiously awaited games leading up to their match up to so called "lighten" his moods.
