A Little Girl

A shattered window
A broken dream
A little girl
Sitting in the corner
Of her room.
All her life
All she has known
Is the constant yelling
The constant fighting,
The anger.
Her only escape
Is in her music,
Her breakdowns.
She takes it out
On her friends and family;
She takes it out on herself.
Things are better now
No more fighting,
No more yelling
But she will always
Have her scars
To remind her
That her life
Wasn't always so great.
