A Little Girl

In a big city there is a little girl.
A little girl whos stomach has concaved into her stomach,
and still manages to stand tall.
A little girl who searches for warmth as her fingers lose feeling,
but falls in love with each snowflake.
A little girl who has been beaten and torn down,
though still lights the night with her smile.

In a small town there is a man.
A man who is surrounded by riches,
but still craves for more.
A man who eats as though he were king,
though he never feels he's had enough.
A man whos smile is white like those of celebrities,
but is hidden under layers of darkness.

In a strange world there live people.
People who have everything but nothing.
People who have nothing but everything.
Though in a world with so many people,
it's the ones with hope who are truly alive.
