A little whisper

Someday people will start listening.
This day they'll truly hear,
The courage of hungry children and
Their suffering mothers fears.
You'll hear the lonely heartache
Of a drunken homeless man,
And the cries of a terribly beaten woman
Now taking a stand.

You'll hear them just as whispers
A little more each day yet,
It seems the more you hear them,
The more their turned away.

So NOW if you are listening,
If in fact this day you hear
A childs silent whisper
In the small of your ear.
She whispers almost silently,
Quietly and slow,
"Please listen to the people's hurts and
Never let them go!"
