A Long and Winding Road to Recovery

People say, “Oh, it will be okay and you will get through it”
But, I say to myself “who the heck do you think you are”
You have no idea what I have gone through and what I am currently going through
So; please don't judge me, unless you have walked in my shoes

Each of us has our own story to tell; and, it is not always an easy one to tell
We all wear our badges of courage in different ways and display them in unique ways as well
But, it is through those scars, badges, and wounds that tells others about an individual's story at least from what they see on the outside
The wounds and the scars come in so many forms and stay with us for a lifetime

With God in your life, the right people surrounding you, family, and true friends; anything and everything in life can have a positive outcome
I am not saying it will be easy; it will have those bumps and bruises
As long as you put forth the effort; the light at the end of the tunnel
is the sweetest thing you will ever see and will be the icing on the cake
Everything that you have gone through in life will be worth it

Life is filled with happiness and joy; but, it also has sadness and despair
It is all in how we deal that and handle it that makes us strong
human beings with strong character
When we learn to let go of things in our lives, we learn to live our lives
Each of us is a child of God and we are worth living for, not only for God; but, for ourselves.

Life is what we make of it...And, we need to be “less” hard on ourselves and love ourselves, so that we can love others.
