A Lost Soul

A Lost Soul

There's a mist that clouds my faith
Like the darkness follows a wraith,
Lost within with nowhere to turn
I welcome what I have spurn.

Ever on I trudge my life
Locked into an eternal strife,
I'm alone on my journey it seems
As my faults are all that gleams.

One day I'll awake I pray
And fly like an eagle far away,
But today I'm like the dove
Not so innocent, just in love.
