A Love Note To Feminism

Based on Camille Dungy’s A Prayer For P----

No one listens to us, no
Man in society understands organization
As a way of normalcy, who would
Put their pens in color order just to mess them up for their function
How would they understand the way the world rotates without
Consulting their mothers and sisters and girls
It is not enough to just say that femininity is like
Petals on a flower, when we know you
Sir, only value our beauty when it is fresh, remember
That beauty is all relative and it’s
Just barely enough to compare us to a flower, an
Acceptable comparison is more like a galaxy. honor
The way we are all-encompassing and understand that to
Appreciate us you need our help.
