A Love Story

Do you remember when you asked do you love me
and I wanted to scream it from the rooftops?
Oh, what a predicament.

Do you remember when I made you dance?
We took another shot of tequila
and felt it rushing through our veins.

Remember the fields of sunflowers?
You asked if I wanted a picture.
I smiled and said yes... and that day--
it was a perfect picture moment.

But do you remember our fights?
How we would get angry, and just look at one another
and fall into each other...
You were no longer my opponent.

What about holding me tight?
When I was falling apart, but you held me together,
made me whole. You were a part of me,
a component that I know will stay forever.
