A Love That I Once Knew

Mentally broken by a love I once knew, my tears cry;
Emotionally surrounded by faded memories of her
faces, a love that I once knew. Uncontrollable dreams
of a woman in the distance, endless outbreaks of
sweats from familiar kisses on my face, broken
smiles, pieces of me. Tossing and turning in my
sleep, from a love that I can't keep. Frantic thoughts
by a passion swinging on a star, by a love challenged
and gone so far. Who is this woman of extraordinary
measures, a love that I once knew, that I will always
treasure.
