A Lover’s Cry

A Lovers' Cry
By AmberMetisse

I can't tell you what it is, that's pulling you away.
All I know is you have changed and nothing is okay.
An empty space is waiting; where your hand should be.
Like a cancer, is all this doubt, that keeps eating away at me.
Questioning my abilities as a woman, has really been hurting my pride.
My self-confidence is fading slowly and, baby, I'm just dying inside.
There has to be a way for me to hold on to your heart.
Giving up is not even an option, this is totally tearing me apart.
Have I already lost you? Have you already gone astray?
Is there any hope of saving this? Any price I would willingly pay.
You mean everything to me, so much is now at stake.
But whether or not you will stay, is not my choice to make.
