A Messed Up World

Guns don't make us safe
It isn't a race
To pull the trigger first

School shootings exist
Guns for the teachers, they insist
More guns somehow equals more lives saved

Mental illness is to blame
Not the unregulated killing machines who maim
They know the solution, they say
Just lock up the insane

A school shooter warning
Is just a usual morning
Desensitized teens, take note of the emergency exits

A gun to the black mans head
I don't see color the white police says
Before shooting him dead
