A Mind of a Convict

Sitting in my jail cell with only my memories and thoughts
How I lost track of what I was taught
Why did I have to do it. I use to have it all
I was doing wrong that's why God made me fall
I constantly think about ways of getting my life back
And consumed with thoughts of how I left my mom to pick up my slack
When I think about failing everyone I love
I start to drop to my knees and pray to the heaven above
Asking for forgiveness is all I can say
At his feet is where my problems lay
Being a convict means I lost my way
Now I choose to live by what he say
Thank you Jesus for saving my soul
I'll carry you in my heart with a love So bold
