A Mind Of Its Own
Want me to write - about flowers and bees?
Meanwhile - we are killing the trees
Polluting the flowers - now there are no more bees
Leaving no oxygen - for us to breathe
So please! - let me express myself
In a world - where people no longer think
Gossiping on social media is our favorite drink
I don’t write with rage - I converse with ink
But who cares, who will read, and who will listen?
The soil is contaminated in every gardens
Slowly as life hardens - the poor begs the lord for pardon
The morning rises - the sun gather round -
The pain in the soil - covers the ground
The hope of freedom is gone without a sound
In search of love, we have yet not found
An empty mind - a troubled brain
As the pen writes these lines in vain
Joy remains a lost token
To a cold truth awoken
In the heard of a spoken promise broken
And a quiet grief unspoken

I hear your dissatisfaction with the way things are going, but I still see bees and flowers, rarer than in the past
I like your poem. The message is clear and you can hear the distress in your words. I have one comment, and that's the first three lines. The first two together sound fine, but when you add the third one, it kind of breaks the rhythmic flow. The 1st and 3rd lines ending with bees are too close and make it sound redundant. Instead you could maybe use another rhyming word. For example, "Polluting the flowers - now there's nothing to see". But overall really good
Hi, I just wrapped up your work and found the visual storytelling throughout the chapters really striking. The major plot points and character dynamics feel made for illustration.
