A Minutes Change

The placid calm of a metered union
erupts into volcanic violence,
Spewing forth obscenities
with herculean force upon
the starry-eyed creature.
Leaving a scorched, liquefied,
ice-hearted soul, with deadened
brain unable to sift through
a minute's change.
