A Moment for My Birth Mom

Hello, it's been a while.
The first time that you saw me I was very, very small.
I had ten fingers and I had ten toes.
In your eyes I was perfect, but you knew you had to let me go.
You never got to hold me 'cause I was sick and very frail.
You just had to say good-bye and hope that all was well.
Time has come and time has gone and many things have changed.
You see I am all grown up now, but I think of you every day.
I've never got to see you, yet I feel a special bond.
I pray for you every night and day.
And hope that one day that time will come.
I know you had to let me go because you loved me way too much.
A mother with such love as this is a gift from up above.
I am forever grateful for the love that you have shown.
I love you, Mom.
