A Moonlit Night

By

Your diamond eyes glitter under the moonlit tree
So joyous and happy. So carefree
We danced past midnight to the swan bird song
The time felt nothing close to being long

We sat near the ocean where the star meets the sea
The night sky, gorgeous. One can never flee
Miles and miles, all we see is sand
One can only feel it on their hand

We strolled past the long blades of grass
We kept dancing, this time with sass
One can only see why I admire
I need you, that’s my desire

Suddenly, I heard my alarm clock rang
It was just a dream, sadly. Dang!
