A Mosaic

Let's make a mosaic in the sky
Glassy stars by glassy eyes
To us a masterpiece of shattered glass
To others a broken thing, to discard in the grass

They would let it decay and die alone
That, my love, is why our masterpiece of stone
Does now, and forever will, fly
In a fractured stone and glass sky

Here and now they can't understand
But when we're gone in a palace so grand
The mosaic above will stay here to remind
Those who forgot of the sweet and happy time
