A Mother sits in a Courtroom
A mother sits in a courtroom
She looks around at all the people
She wonders why they are there
Are they there for a crime of their own?
Or there for the crime of another?
A mother sits in a courtroom,
Remembering when her children were small,
How she struggled to raise them all alone,
She wonders where she went wrong.
A mother sits in a courtroom,
She doesn't understand
How her son could put her here,
A son she loves so much,
Would lie, so she will pay for his crimes.
A mother sits in a courtroom,
She is all alone and scared,
Wishing her son would be there,
To make things right.
A mother sits in a courtroom,
She no longer cares to fight,
She realizes her son,
Will never do whats right,
A mother sits in a courtroom,
With tears falling from her eyes,
She gave her children everything she could,
Now she will give,
The only thing she has left,
HER FREEDOM
She looks around at all the people
She wonders why they are there
Are they there for a crime of their own?
Or there for the crime of another?
A mother sits in a courtroom,
Remembering when her children were small,
How she struggled to raise them all alone,
She wonders where she went wrong.
A mother sits in a courtroom,
She doesn't understand
How her son could put her here,
A son she loves so much,
Would lie, so she will pay for his crimes.
A mother sits in a courtroom,
She is all alone and scared,
Wishing her son would be there,
To make things right.
A mother sits in a courtroom,
She no longer cares to fight,
She realizes her son,
Will never do whats right,
A mother sits in a courtroom,
With tears falling from her eyes,
She gave her children everything she could,
Now she will give,
The only thing she has left,
HER FREEDOM
