A Mother’s Forgiveness

Mother, I'm sorry for all the pain
I point the finger, I take the blame
Deep down in my soul, I know I was wrong
Dear Mother, please don't leave me alone
These tears I cry are not from joy
What's on my mind, I can't avoid
Just hold my hand and pray with me
Close my eyes and lay with me
Tell me that things will be okay
Tell me you love me in every way
Clear my mind in a time of need
Winter days and windy trees
Flowers bloom when the sun comes out
Soften petals as they sprout
Drifted clouds, mountains narrow
Always my eyes are on the sparrow
To know you forgive me and hear my thoughts
The way you raised me, that's what I'm taught
Mother, I'm sorry for all the pain
The sun came out and dried the rain
Then the snow fell of crystal bliss
And as the seasons change, you will always be missed
