A Mother’s Voice

I close my eyes
and hear your voice
a voice I never heard before
a voice so soft.
I began to dream
It's the voice of my mother.
I wake up wishing it were true
but dream or reality just understand
my hurt mother and that I want nothing more than to meet you.
As tears began to fill in my eyes
wishing someone would just hear and understand my cries
but nobody truly understands.
The past is left questionable for I never knew or
understood why
but strive to become a stronger woman through
my laughter and cries.
For a mother's voice is never forgotten but rememberable.
