A New Blue Sky

Blooming flowers wilted in a flash
A new wind swept the prairie off its feet
A beautiful land was introduced to a new stranger
The sky darkened, this world now in shackles

Discrete voices were muffled

The prairie suffered as the once living died out
Hope became a vision of the past

This new outsider brought change
A shift that collided with peace
Surrounded in emptiness,
Days began moving backwards

Suddenly acceptance was in the air
Rather than living amongst this foreigner
Vast realms began living alongside it
Fear still of existence, yet one could finally breathe

Constructed time flew by
However one began to hear the birds chirp
Eyes looked up to the Sun shining once again
A new blue sky appeared

An opportunity for new beginnings...
