A New World

By

I wake up every morning, I have nowhere to go
I wash my face and comb my hair
And put the coffee on.
There isn't much that I can do
In my world so small and lonely.
I don't wear a mask alone inside my house!
My friends have become my shoppers.
They leave my groceries at my door.
Is there any end to this
Before my life ends first?
I have no fear of the virus,
My only fear is loneliness
That keeps my friends away
And leaves me with my memories
Of a brighter day!
