A New Year’s Speech

The foulest of human nature, it is
Just that…human nature.
The injuries caused by tragedies such as Newtown
They don’t stop at the victims families nor their communities.
They injure the collective soul.
The political bickering, that teeters the economy on the edge of the cliff
It jades the mass’ trust.
And we take all this with us, like it or not, into our everyday.
But one thing is for certain,
That though human nature have capacity for the destructiveness of the immoral and amoral
It has the same capacity for Love and Hope and Endurance
Though I won’t list examples here…it is not for a lack of them
I leave those acts of love and kindness and tenderness
that grow good and causes it to flourish…
those acts to you.

On this New Years Eve I want to wish all of you, all of humanity
Find a little bit of Love and Hope and Endurance.
Give a little bit of Love and Hope and Endurance.

Happy New Year!
