A Part of Me

I Loved you from the beginning my dear
Every month I carried you I had no fear
I knew when I gave birth to you there would be pain
The day you took your first breath you had just boarded the train
To begin a long journey of life trials and tribulations
There were tears in my eyes it was a celebration
Of the life of my baby girl Ky'Lisiah Unique Rollins
I held you in my arms you were as soft as cotton
I remember thinking to myself I must be the proudest mother alive
You being my child I would never let anything come between or divide
You were beautiful my dear your smile was my sun
There was no debate to win because having you I had already won
A noble peace prize for the angel that was sent from God to me
Although he has carried you back home to be with him
You still, always and for eternity, will be a part of me
