A Peace of Mind

He stared off the cliff into the starry night
Dreaming of a world all so right
A world in which was not so cold
But a world in which was all bold
People all around were hand in hand
Living in a society of greener land
There was no fighting
There were no fakes
Just a land of peace and grace

Being an outcast was not his place
But society said he was a waste
And what a waste he thought he was
Until he saw the whitest dove
And he knew he had to follow this beautiful thing
But where was it leading and what would it bring
Would it bring him money
Would it bring him friends
Would it bring him closer to another hand

He didn't know what would happen or where he would be
But he found himself on a hill smiling under an old willow tree
As he stared at the stars he whispered silently
Courage and a peace of mind is what it brought me
