A Pine For All Seasons

Pine trees majestic, awe inspiring view,
Spring’s fresh green growth infusing renewal.
Several more inches at the branch’s end,
Not long from now the colors will blend.

Oh, the pleasant scent from the strong pines,
Furthering the enjoyment of relaxing times.
The spring pines announce the year’s beginning,
In winter they’re a part of Christmas trimmings.

A tender blend of colors constructing the pine,
Dull grayish hue for a strong handsome spine.
Bright, verdant needles decorating the branches,
Masculine, yet, in the wind they perform dances.

Fallen pine needles create a carpeted ground,
A contrast in color, a soft calming brown.
In winter their branches hold puffs of white snow,
A pleasing view surely, your mind will take hold.

A stand of pine trees will hinder the wind,
Deer taking refuge, as pines protect them.
While wandering through a pine forest one day,
Peace and serenity will lure you to stay.
