A Place

A Place
Constant a battle takes hold
Fear denies the hearts release
Of pleasures, of moments longed for
Precious as Gold.
Be still my soul, breathe in my hope.
This battle resides deep-rooted, and I
Falter, and stumble as clouds fog the
Mind’s eye.
At this moment I find within me
A place to run, a place where faith abides.
Wings of hope break the hold
A place where fear is denied.
This gift born eons ago touched by angels,
This gift more precious than gold
From a place, the ancients wonder
And behold, where faith abides,
And battles are won, light from the Son.
This is the place I will stay until time lets go
Of these reigns.
This is the place I’ll be,
The place that sets me free.
