A Place in My Mind

A silent little hill
Sitting very still
With a modest pride
Slanted curve aside
Every tree's tapered stems
Adorned starry diadems
Glistening dew of morn
The dawn of a new day born
Brightening once again
The rough edges within
And the leafy shelves
Refresh themselves
'Round the rocky bends
Blow soft morning winds
Through blades of grass
And time's shadow to pass
Through endless streams
Of sunny beams
How they wrestle
And ever nestle
O'er the pebbly sand
Across the majestic land
