A Place in the Sun

One of these days I'm going to find my place in the sun
Where there'll be lots of nice people and smiles from everyone
In that place, the gatherers will be fantastic
Everyone will be real, not fake, nor plastic
The girls will be there, all tanned, shapely and smooth
They'll be ready to party and to get in the groove
The music will be bumping some old school tunes
Marvin Gaye and the Beyonce will be setting the mood
The place will be crowded with plenty to do
We'll have beach ball, volley ball and water polo too
The waiters and waitresses will be hurrying around
As the shouts for more drinks and food resound
The muscles of the young men, in the sun will glisten
As they do their part to fight for the alpha male position
Arm chairs and hammocks will be filled to the max
As the young and the old try to relax
The skies overhead will be sunny and blue
And the weather will be nice, a comfortable 82
The crowd will be diverse, from all around the world
There'll be no one talking politics, religion or jail
There'll be no hurry; it will be as if the earth stood still
We'll all be relaxing and trying to chill
I've been running a long time; now it's time to have fun
So I'm going to find my place in the sun
I hope to see you in that place filled with smiles
After you've finished running your life's many miles
