A Place to Call Home

I do not know if I should stay,
Or if I should go.
All that I know is, this is not my home.
I do not know where to go.

Fences surround me.
They beckon me to stay.
I climb over the gate.
I do not know where to go.

I sit down and look up.
I hear my grandfather speak up,
"All stars shine,
But that does not mean that they have to align."
I know where to go.

I am finally home.
