A Poem for You, Mom
I can't believe this day is here,
The day that I, always did fear!
I know this won't be very easy,
But I know you're okay, and always near!
Your voice in my head telling me it's okay,
And that you're watching over us, every single day!
We'll get through this however we may,
When you think of me, smile is what you would say.
No one could ever, take your place,
And when I feel down, I picture your smiling face!
Your loved much more, than what you knew.
I know you can see that, and now realize it too!
Not the Momma was your phrase,
And that's what we called you, back in the days!
You took me in, when I was down.
You made me smile, when I would frown!
Annoying, annoying, annoying , is what I was to you,
But yet, you made me your daughter, and loved me through!
I know your happy and tired free,
Watching over us, continuously!
Mom, you were a special kind of breed,
And had the love, to fill everyone's need!
There are no words, that I can say,
To make this easier in any which way!
I know you would want, to see us smile.
Please understand, we'll only mourn for a while!
