A Poem Of The Young

I should sleep but your feel is far, numb from the time passed
I stay still holding my breath
That kiss I never got, still lays on my lips
The weight we felt, it hasn't lift
Time has passed, days gone by
The words you said, the way they sang
They sang straight to me, from miles away
I always got them
Smiles we shared and laughs barely heard
We were seconds behind
Only one or two
But the feel we felt, we were in perfect sync
Perfect time
When I close my eyes, your image is no longer there
Not you, but us, was a moment in time
A memory of young love, a distant love, miles away
You made me feel like a muse, the way every girl wants
Its not goodbye but,
its goodbye
I loved thee
The sweet taste of young love
The blood that pumped for us two
I will have forever
I will keep you,
as a memory
