A portrait of lies

Tied up in your words,
prepared for the worst.
Heart beating.
Thumping.
Falling deeper in this room,
too afraid to come home.
You stand by the door.
Loud thumping.
Door shaking.
Eyesight covered.
Forest of lies undiscovered.
A happy grin.
I raise up my chin;
a shiver.
Glass shatters;
a camera shutters,
we freeze.
Silence,
now smile.
A portrait of lies.
Never uncovered
