A Ripple

I've never known a pain like yours,
But I wisht to take your pain as mine.
This I cannot do for you,
But here is what you've done for me:

As I wipe my bleary eyes,
To tend my babes small cries,
I think of the littlest lives
And what determines who survives

But to this question I've no reply
We are left to wonder why,
The heartache, we cannot deny,
But within lies a truth to live by:

We all want to cause a ripple
In this pond of humanity
To fight against all the insanity
And oft times the littlest lives
Cause the biggest ripples.
