A Roadies Life – Part 2

Oh the many things
That one does see
As part of the roadies life.
Drunks and preachers,
Sunday school teachers,
And sometimes a jealous wife.
The drunk with stories
Of long faded glories,
They relive them every night.
They've spent so much time
In these dark smoky bars
That they fear to go out in the light!
Then there's the places
Of bright smiling faces,
People who sway to the beat.
The music stays with them,
And surely uplifts them,
And brings them straight up
To their feet.
Off stage for my star,
I like best by far
When they clap and fill up the tip jar.
But I'll deal with the fights,
The snobs and bright lights,
For such is a roadies life.
