A Roadie’s Life

You hurry up and then you wait.
Always be early, never be late.
You must be sure, never hesitate...
Such is a roadie's life.
You set things up, go down the line.
Check each thing a hundred times.
Hook things up and run the lines...
Such is a roadie's life.
You tear down the set and coil the wire
Oh so aware of each passing hour.
Make sure nothing's forgotten and cut the power...
Such is a roadie's life.
Behind the scenes unseen by most,
About our boss we like to boast.
At evenings end we raise a toast...
Such is a roadie's life.
